Job Summary
Operations Intern at Hensel Phelps (Sacramento, CA). Gain understanding of the construction process and assist Field Engineers and Office Engineers in field and materials management. Interns review subcontractor submittals, develop RFIs, assist with layout/surveying, prepare daily reports, and support quality control and safety planning. Requires strong communication skills and proficiency with MS Office (Excel templates), Prolog, Primavera, and AutoDesk suite. Preferred to be pursuing a 4-year degree in Civil, Structural, Architecture or Construction Management. Paid internship with benefits including PTO from hire. Internship aims to evaluate fit for a long-term career at Hensel Phelps.
Required Qualifications
- Strong communication skills
- Computer software - Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel based templates, Prolog, Primavera and AutoDesk Suite
- Candidates are preferred to be pursuing a 4-year degree in Civil, Structural, Architecture or Construction Management
- Subcontractor Management
