Job Summary
Perform routine and deep cleaning of the facility, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, trash removal, restroom cleaning, and window washing. Clean and maintain facility equipment, furniture, fixtures, and surfaces throughout offices, service hallways, and exterior areas. Prepare meeting rooms prior to events by dusting fixtures, polishing wood, and cleaning HVAC grates, while assisting with setup and breakdown of tables, chairs, and staging. Operate floor scrubbers, carpet extractors, and other light power-driven cleaning equipment safely. Maintain housekeeping supplies and equipment, report maintenance needs, and ensure event spaces are properly prepared according to requirements. Work indoors and outdoors in a large public assembly facility with flexible scheduling including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum of six (6) months of janitorial or housekeeping experience
- Ability to work independently while exercising sound judgment and initiative
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers, vendors, and guests
- Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing operational needs
- Strong verbal communication skills
- Ability to follow both written and verbal instructions
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, event-driven environment
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Ability to frequently bend, stoop, kneel, reach, push, pull, and lift
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- Ability to carry a 30-pound disinfecting backpack for extended periods during a shift
- Must be available to work a flexible schedule, including days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays
