Job Summary
Conduct park operations by managing parking flow, directing traffic, and maintaining cleanliness through sweeping, raking, and organizing storage. Assist with event setup and breakdown, including loading equipment, arranging signage, and ensuring post-event cleanup. Engage guests by answering questions, explaining park rules, and providing safety guidance while supporting crowd control and emergency protocols. Perform physical tasks such as climbing park elements, operating boats, and shoveling snow or ice as required. Work weekends and holidays to ensure smooth operations from opening to closing.
Required Qualifications
- 18 years of age
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time
- Manual dexterity to use equipment
- Ability to see and read printed material
- Physical agility to lift and carry up to 50 pounds individually
- Ability to lift and carry up to 100 pounds with assistance
- Ability to bend, stoop, walk, and reach overhead
- Ability to carry, place, and climb ladders of varying heights
- Ability to kneel, squat, bend floor-to-waist/waist-to-overhead, reach overhead, stand, sit, lift, and walk indoors and outdoors for extended periods of time
- Ability to perform simple grasp and fine hand manipulations tasks
- Ability to climb ladders and work around heights
- Ability to maneuver through tight spaces associated with playground elements
- Ability to shovel and remove snow and ice from designated areas
- Proficiency in swimming
- Ability to operate kayaks
- Ability to operate paddleboats
- Ability to communicate verbally with large groups
- Ability to work and interact positively with children and families
- Ability to successfully complete CPR training
- Ability to regularly work weekends, holidays, and non-traditional hours
- Ability to perform all cleaning duties
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience in a customer service role
- High School Diploma or GED
- Background in athletics or outdoor activities
- 1 to 2 years of experience working with children and families in an environment that involved providing guided instruction
