Job Summary
Operate heavy equipment including excavators, front-end loaders, scrap handlers, and haulers while loading scrap metal, sorting materials, and maintaining a safe working environment. Complete pre-operational checks, clean and lubricate machinery, and use attachments like grapples and magnets as assigned. Communicate via two-way radio and perform other general duties directed by the manager. Work a continental rotational shift rotation from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM and 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM, with seven scheduled shifts every 14 days. Required Qualifications
- Previous experience operating Excavator, Front End Loader, Scrap Handler, Hauler
- Must have a valid Driver's License
- Strong communication both written and verbal
Desired Qualifications
- Heavy Equipment Operators Certification preferred
- OSSD or equivalent is preferred but not required
