Job Summary
Conduct financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting support while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver actionable insights for strategic decision-making. Perform financial performance analysis, compliance oversight, and month-end close processes including account reconciliations and journal entry preparation. Enhance reporting processes, drive automation initiatives, and strengthen internal controls to support the company's growth through data-driven decision making. Work standard hours Monday through Friday in an office setting within North Carolina.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ability to work effectively with large datasets
- Foundational understanding of accounting principles and financial concepts
- Strong presentation skills with the ability to communicate financial information and insights clearly to diverse audiences
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to meet deadlines
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across teams
- Ability and willingness to learn new technologies, systems, and processes
- Demonstrated commitment to integrity and professional ethics
Desired Qualifications
- Degree concentration in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline
- Internship, academic, or professional exposure to financial analysis, accounting, or corporate finance
- Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle
- Knowledge of month-end close processes, account reconciliations, and journal entry preparation
- Familiarity with SOX compliance, internal controls, or financial control frameworks
- Experience with financial reporting and visualization tools such as Power BI or Hyperion
- Exposure to budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance analysis
- Interest or experience in process improvement, reporting automation, or data analytics
- Strong customer-focused mindset and ability to build effective stakeholder relationships
- Professional accounting qualification or progress toward a qualification such as CPA, ACCA, or CIMA is a plus
