Job Summary
Operations Expert - Document Management responsibilities include ensuring operational stability, performance, and availability of the product; monitoring, controlling, and continuously improving system operations and service quality; coordinating ITSM activities (incidents, changes, problems, requests, knowledge, events); acting as the primary contact and escalation point for operational issues; managing communication during major incidents with the Global Service Desk; identifying operational risks and defining mitigation measures; driving SLA improvements and ensuring service performance targets are met; increasing transparency and actively managing technical debt in alignment with architecture; creating and analyzing operational reports and deriving improvement actions; ensuring compliance with security policies and information security standards; supporting reliable product releases and stable delivery of product increments; maintaining and improving operational documentation and knowledge bases; contributing to a product team working with SAP S/4HANA-centric system landscapes; collaborating with product team members, users, and stakeholders to support the implementation of product requirements and ensure Definition of Done is met.
Required Qualifications
- Degree in business administration/informatics/mathematics/similar area or relevant professional experience
- Strong experience in IT operations, service management, or application support
- Solid knowledge of SAP Finance, Real Estate, and/or document workflow solutions
- Proven experience in ensuring stable and performant system operations
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills
- Experience with ITSM tools and processes (e.g. ServiceNow)
- Good understanding of interface technologies and system integrations
- Knowledge of operations, monitoring, and maintenance concepts
- Familiarity with ISMS standards and security requirements
- Experience working in agile product teams (e.g., Scrum, SAFe)
- Excellent English communication skills
- Flexibility and willingness to travel internationally
- Nice-to-have: Experience in managing hybrid (on-premise & cloud) environments
- Experience in maintaining Windows Server environments
- Understanding of enterprise IT landscapes
- Strong customer focus and proactive mindset
- Intercultural competence
- German skills optional
