Operations Excellence Specialist

Job Summary
Monitor and improve operational processes by leading change initiatives, mapping workflows, and removing waste to increase safety, efficiency, and productivity. Identify gaps and sustainable opportunities for improvement within the warehouse regarding productivity, efficiency, or space optimization. Analyze data regularly to generate detailed reports, develop optimization strategies for bottlenecks, and implement key performance indicators to measure operational performance. Coordinate projects across the organization, establish standards to track progress, and conduct training sessions to build capabilities and foster a culture of continuous learning. Collaborate with cross-functional teams on workshops and align organizational efforts using methodologies like PDAC or DMAIC. This role supports the Warehouse leadership team at Mevotech, a leader in the aftermarket auto parts industry, with a hybrid schedule of four days onsite and one day remote.
Required Qualifications
- 3-5 years' related experience applying problem-solving methodologies in work environments
- 3-5 years of continuous improvement methodologies such as Six Sigma, Lean, Accelerated Root Cause, Kaizen / Lean, etc
- Proven ability to handle multiple priorities and ongoing projects
- Proven ability to communicate and build relationships with a customer focus
- Proven ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment with changing priorities
- Driver's License
- expectation to travel to various warehouses
- Intermediate skills with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Position follows a hybrid work requirement, consisting of four (4) days onsite and one (1) day remote weekly
- Primarily office-based with standard working hours; may require additional hours to meet project/work deadlines or address urgent matters
- Ability to work in a dynamic environment, managing multiple tasks and responsibilities simultaneously
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree (Business, Supply Chain, Engineering or related field) is ideal, but not a requirement
- Prior experience with AutoCAD considered an asset
