Job Summary
Monitor application health using Grafana and Loki, then investigate production incidents by analyzing logs, exceptions, and stack traces. Conduct initial Root Cause Analysis, document findings, and troubleshoot front-end, back-end, and integration failures involving REST APIs, JSON payloads, and web services. Take ownership of incidents from investigation through resolution, supporting Incident, Problem, and Change Management processes while working with Level 3 development and infrastructure teams. Perform SQL queries, validate database integrity, and assist with releases, deployments, and production changes. Create and maintain standard operating procedures, runbooks, and technical documentation in alignment with ITIL and operational best practices.
Required Qualifications
- 5–10+ years of enterprise application support experience
- Strong experience supporting Java applications
- Production support and troubleshooting experience
- Experience with REST APIs, JSON and web services
- Strong SQL querying and database troubleshooting skills
- Experience with application logs, exceptions and stack traces
- Hands-on experience with Grafana and Loki or similar monitoring/observability platforms
- Understanding of JVM monitoring and analysis
- Knowledge of networking fundamentals including DNS, HTTPS, firewalls and load balancers
- Understanding of SSO, LDAP and Active Directory
- Solid understanding of ITIL, Incident, Problem and Change Management
- IT Degree, Diploma or equivalent practical experience
- Strong production support background
- Experience working with Java, integrations, databases and monitoring platforms
