Job Summary
Administer the ERU Preventative Maintenance program and oversee the Leak Detection/Repair Program to ensure safety and environmental compliance. Coordinate activities between ERU staff and outside contractors, plan semi-annual maintenance shutdowns, and review spare parts inventory to reduce downtime. Assist in project engineering to resolve recurring issues, maintain the maintenance budget, and provide technical training to ERU personnel. Conduct safety audits, track maintenance history, and implement changes to eliminate recurring problems. Based onsite at PPG's Circleville, OH plant, this role requires a Bachelor's in engineering or equivalent experience and reports to the Energy Recovery Unit Manager.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering (preferably Mechanical)
- 5+ years of mechanical, chemical or industrial experience
- high school diploma/GED
- 15+ years of relevant professional work experience
- Proficiency in computer applications
- strong organizational skills
- Ability to understand accounting principles related to capital requests, budget management, and cost analysis
- General knowledge of storeroom systems, preventative maintenance systems, and operating permits
- Willingness or ability to obtain a boiler operator's license from the State of Ohio
