Job Summary
Second level technical support for GTT's Network Services & Security across an international client base. Responsibilities include break/fix incident handling, escalation to vendor/support teams, providing concise action plans for network/service issues, documenting customer and service-specific information, proactive problem management to ensure service stability, and configuration of network and security elements with service migrations. Emphasis on delivering best-in-class technical support and maintaining a stable, resilient network. Hours align with extended European business hours; role supports hybrid/remote work as indicated by post tags.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience in operations of Telco/Service Provider/Managed Services Provider or similar environment
- General knowledge of Telecom/SP/MSP industry and products (DIA, IP Transit, MPLS, L2VPN, L3VPN)
- Good understanding of SD-WAN technologies and NFV
- Experience with routing protocols (BGP, ISIS, OSPF, EIGRP)
- Experience with L2 technologies (VLANs, Q-in-Q, Trunks, VTP, Spanning-Tree, Aggregation/LACP)
- Knowledge of network security technologies and NGFWs (NAC, VPN, DPI, IPS/IDS, content filtering)
- Familiarity with Linux/Unix based tools; Cisco/Juniper knowledge essential
- Desirable certifications: CCNA, JNCIA, FCA, PCNSA/ PCCSA
