Job Summary
Operations Engineer I at Andersen Corporation leads continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing processes to enhance safety, quality, delivery and cost. Responsibilities include partnering with operations, RD&I, quality, maintenance, and supply chain to drive improvements in the value-stream; supporting fabrication and assembly operations; solving problems and performing root cause analysis with production teams; leading lean projects; driving cost reductions and yield improvements with delivery partners; managing capital equipment projects from design through startup; developing operator balance charts and staffing playbooks for assembly cells; collaborating with product development for design changes; and maintaining a highly visible, hands-on, high-involvement problem-solving culture.
Required Qualifications
- 4 year degree in Engineering or Technology
- Open to varying levels of experience
- Equipment procurement experience
- Strong project management skills
- Strong knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles
- Strong knowledge of quality systems, SPC and process capability
