Job Summary
Ensure BESS systems are fully available and charging/discharging per dispatch while acknowledging alarms and performing plant rounds. Author, review, and update Standard Operating Procedures, Emergency Response Guides, and EHS policies; manage contractors and issue permits for confined space, hot work, and energized electrical tasks. Maintain and repair electrical equipment, instrumentation, and the Distributed Control System (DCS); prepare and hang Lock Out Tag Out procedures. De-energize or re-energize equipment and maintain site backup batteries using a Computerized Maintenance Management System. Resolve complex technical issues independently and provide on-the-job skills training to others.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma, degree from technical/vocational school or equivalent
- Senior-level; minimum of 5 years' experience in instrument/electrical and control system applications
- Strong mechanical aptitude with an advanced understanding of chemistry, physics, electricity and mathematics
- Experience with DCS programming and configuration
- Advanced certifications/licensures
- Valid state driver's license
