Job Summary
EH&S Manager for Pratt & Whitney within the PDC, partnering with site leadership to ensure regulatory EH&S compliance and adherence to RTX/HSE standards. Leads development and execution of strategic EH&S initiatives for the module center; oversees EH&S Council administration; conducts specialized audits and inspections; manages health and safety programs (industrial hygiene, OSHA recordkeeping, incident investigation, training, spill response on a rotating on-call schedule); drives trend analysis and corrective/preventive actions; supports cross-functional projects and leadership in incident investigations and improvement efforts. Onsite role in Middletown, CT; requires a Bachelor’s or Master’s in a relevant field and substantial EH&S experience; U.S. citizenship required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in environmental engineering, occupational safety & health, environmental management, chemistry, chemical engineering or similar OR Master’s degree in same fields with corresponding years of experience
- 10+ years of experience in EH&S or closely related field OR 7+ years with Master’s degree
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Experience forming, facilitating, and maintaining internal and cross-functional teams and relationships
- Preferred certifications such as CSP, CIH, P.E., CHMM
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree and 10+ years of experience in environmental engineering, occupational safety & health, environmental management, chemistry, chemical engineering or similar; Master’s degree and 7+ years of experience in environmental engineering, occupational safety & health, environmental management, chemistry, chemical engineering or similar; proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook); experience forming, facilitating, and mentoring cross-functional teams; additional certifications such as CSP, CIH, P.E., or CHMM preferred.
