Job Summary
Lead the Transportation and Maintenance Departments to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant operations across the district while managing departmental budgets and expenditures. Supervise personnel and oversee multiple operational functions, establishing priorities and developing systems to monitor implementation and hold staff accountable for results. Analyze operational needs to recommend short-term and long-term solutions, ensuring alignment with federal, state, and local laws, regulations, safety requirements, and district policies. Maintain a valid Mississippi driver's license. This part-time role supports the Superintendent and Board of Trustees in advancing the Coahoma County School District's mission.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Mississippi driver's license
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
- Minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in operations, facilities management, transportation, maintenance, logistics, or a related area
- Demonstrated experience supervising personnel and managing multiple operational fuctions
- Strong organizational, leadership, communication, and problem solving skills
- Working knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local laws, regulations, safety requirements, and district policies related to school operations
- Ability to develop, monitor, and manage departmental budgets and operational expenditures
- Ability to establish priorities, develop systems, monitor implementation, and hold personnel accountable for results and able to analyze operational needs and recommend short-term and long-term solutions
- Alternative or supplemental qualifications as the Superintendent and Board of Trustees may find appropriate and necessary
