Job Summary
Operations Director to lead and optimize clearing and forwarding operations in Tanzania and international markets. Responsible for developing and implementing operational strategies, improving processes to reduce turnaround times, ensuring regulatory compliance across local and international regimes, leading and developing the operations team, maintaining strong client relationships, and monitoring KPIs to drive efficiency and growth. Requires extensive domain expertise in customs, freight forwarding, and logistics, plus strategic planning, cross-functional collaboration, and strong leadership capabilities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration or a related field
- Over 10 years of progressive experience in the clearing and forwarding industry, including leadership roles
- Proven experience working in Tanzania and international markets
- Deep understanding of customs procedures, freight forwarding and logistics operations
- Strong leadership and people management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment
