Operations Crew - WRMC (Part-Time)

Job Summary
Setup and break down all facility areas, including flooring, chairs, tables, walls, staging, and equestrian livestock equipment for events. Maintain barns, arenas, and stalls by preparing spaces and spreading shavings while performing housekeeping duties like sweeping, mopping, and trash removal. Operate large equipment including forklifts, boom lifts, scissor lifts, Kubotas, tractors, and golf carts to support operations. Report discrepancies, safety concerns, or property damage promptly to management and enforce company policies. Work 100% on-site at the Will Rogers Memorial Center in a fast-paced environment involving animals, fluctuating temperatures, and potential exposure to hazardous chemicals.
Required Qualifications
- Must be a minimum of 18 years of age
- Must have a Texas motor vehicle license
- Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs
- Ability to lift, push, and pull 100 lbs or more sporadically
- Ability to reach, lift, and bend to perform job duties throughout the shift
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to communicate effectively with management, guests, and team members
- Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced, high-energy environment
- Demonstrate knowledge of practices and procedures related to typical methods and techniques for conversions and maintaining the facility equipment
- Demonstrate ability to carry out tasks in a reliable, productive, and expedient manner
- Ability to adhere to strict deadlines
- Ability to operate various large equipment including forklifts, boom lifts, scissor lifts, Kubotas, tractors, golf carts
- Ability to operate industrial vehicles such as carts, forklifts, and floor scrubbers
- Ability to work in an environment with fluctuating temperatures
- Ability to work around animals typically found in a fair/4H/FFA environment (horses, cattle, pigs, sheep, dogs, etc.)
- Ability to regularly spend their shift standing/walking, traveling stairs, with limited to no sitting
- Ability to work in high noise levels and/or fluctuating lights in event settings
- Ability to be exposed to hazardous chemicals, electrical shock risks, and vibrations throughout the shift
- Ability to be exposed to hazards associated with moving vehicles and require strict adherence to safety protocols
Desired Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED preferred and/or equivalent work experience
- 1+ years of experience in a manual labor position in public assembly facilities
- Any experience and/or training in the public assembly facility management industry is a plus
