Job Summary
Coordinate divisional disaster operations by serving as the primary instructor for National Disaster Training Program courses and managing volunteer recruitment, onboarding, and roster maintenance. Oversee on-call staff availability, maintain inventory levels for supplies and equipment, and manage social media communications. Act as a liaison with local, state, and federal agencies while supporting disaster needs assessments and field evaluations. Deploy to emergency incidents and special events as an authorized representative, providing command-level coordination and operational support. Maintain facility cleanliness and vehicle readiness, completing required administrative documentation and statistical reporting. Maintain on-call availability for two weeks per month to ensure coverage for the Greater Philadelphia Area.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum High School diploma or equivalent
- Valid Driver's License
- Ability to drive large vehicles and tow trailers
- Training in Emergency Management (FEMA, SA or other courses)
- PA Child Abuse History Clearance
- PA State Police Criminal Record Check
- PA DHS Criminal Record/Fingerprint Check
- Pennsylvania approved Child Abuse Recognition and Reporting Training
- Understanding and support for the Mission of The Salvation Army
