Job Summary
Operations Coordinator to act as the primary point of contact for carriers and customers, monitor shipments to ensure on-time delivery, book next-day freight, manage after-hours communications, proactively identify and resolve delays, update internal systems with shipment details, communicate professionally with customers, collaborate with the day operations team for seamless handoffs, maintain records of communications and issue resolutions, and ensure compliance with company policies and safety standards.
Required Qualifications
- Previous experience in transportation, logistics, or freight brokerage is preferred.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and make quick decisions in a demanding environment.
- Requires perfect attendance due to great dependance on this role.
- Ability to learn industry-specific software.
- Able to work after-hours and adapt to changing priorities.
