Job Summary
Operations Control Manager (Vice President) within JP Morgan Personal Investing responsible for designing and embedding risk controls and CORE-aligned frameworks across product development and operations. Lead risk assessments, identify and mitigate operational risks, and govern control performance through heatmaps, KPIs/KRIs, and reporting. Partner with business, operations, legal, compliance, risk, audit, and technology to maintain a strong control environment, provide training on CORE practices, and drive remediation and governance across the wealth management platform.
Required Qualifications
- Strong experience in Operational Risk Management within wealth management or comparable large financial institution environment
- Understanding of wealth management products and associated regulatory risks
- Knowledge of FCA requirements and regulatory expectations (general investments, CASS, Consumer Duty; ISA and Pension regs desirable)
- Experience with trade lifecycle and supporting trade management processes
- Ability to articulate risks in business processes into risk & control heatmaps and prioritized action plans
- Strong communication skills to influence senior stakeholders
- Experience with process mapping and controls documentation; agile environment
