Job Summary
The Operations Buyer is responsible for implementing regional indirect procurement contracts, managing indirect purchases, overseeing commercial activities related to engineering changes, and supporting Category Management in executing commodity strategies. Key tasks include managing supplier performance, providing procurement input for Supplier Scorecards, and maintaining accurate serial pricing within the ERP system. A completed technical or business degree and 1-3 years of experience in international procurement and technical products, particularly in the Automotive industry, are required. Strong communication, negotiation skills, and proficiency in relevant software tools are essential.
Required Qualifications
- Completed technical or business degree with strong technical aptitude, or equivalent education
- 1-3 Years of professional experience in international Procurement and technical products in the Automotive industry
- Ability to work under pressure with a solution‐oriented, result-driven approach
- Basic understanding of commercial contract law
- Customer‐focused mindset with strong adherence to deadlines
- Basic understanding of manufacturing processes and ability to interpret and analyze CBDs
Desired Qualifications
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Fluency in English; additional languages are an asset
- Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Business Intelligence tools
- Foundational knowledge of ISO 9001, IATF 16949, and VDA 6.3 processes
- Basic knowledge of manufacturing processes
