Operations Associate, Pediatric Emergency Department

Coordinate patient information processing, manage documentation, and facilitate unit operations by tracking and assigning beds, processing direct admissions, and managing discharge orders. Relay messages among staff, answer routine inquiries, and greet visitors while orienting patients and families. Maintain patient charts, prepare records for transfer and discharge, and manage unit supplies and inventory. Provide report handoffs to the next shift, coordinate communication with ancillary departments, and serve as a resource for hospitalists and teaching teams. Initiate emergency procedures and mobilize support personnel as needed.
