Job Summary
Operations Associate supports the Director of Operations and is responsible for all aspects of business operations management within property management. Responsibilities include supporting on-site leasing teams with leasing system tech support and one-off requests, acting as an alternate main point of home office contact for leasing operations, drafting communications, administering and updating leasing operations systems, supporting leadership with operational training initiatives for site teams, researching and preparing presentations for new initiatives, reviewing and distributing SOP documentation, scheduling team-wide meetings and training, collaborating with IT/Marketing/Finance/HR/Legal & Development on cross-functional projects, updating portfolio-wide electronic documents, working with outside vendors on leasing-focused accounts and projects, and completing other tasks as directed. Key skills include strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, time management, ability to learn new technologies, and proficiency with MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and Google Suites. Education preferred but not required beyond HS, with a path toward a Bachelor’s degree preferred; the role emphasizes property management experience and cross-functional collaboration.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business or related discipline preferred but high school degree or equivalent is required
- Previous work experience in residential property management, administrative, or customer service is preferred
- Ability to learn fair housing regulations required
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Time management skills
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and to work independently
- Familiarity with technology systems and concepts, including MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and Google Suites
- Demonstrated aptitude for learning new technologies
- Ability to manage multiple, concurrent projects
