Job Summary

Manage end-to-end movement of global shipments within a regional network, including ocean LCL/FCL, air imports/exports, and intermodal logistics. Ensure on-time delivery by handling exceptions, adhering to SOPs, and satisfying internal KPIs and SLAs. Coordinate day-to-day operations with partners such as steamship lines, customs, and trucking vendors while owning the client experience and escalating issues as needed. Quote and invoice client shipments with responsibility to their P&L, and prepare for quarterly business reviews and client operational calls. This role supports Flexport's mission to simplify global commerce for companies ranging from emerging brands to Fortune 500s.

Required Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in logistics, freight forwarding, supply chain, ocean carrier operations, or consulting
  • Able to adapt to new technology and can thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Effective time management - be able to properly prioritize and manage a large volume of tasks
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to effectively seek and receive feedback
  • Effective communication both verbally and in writing in client facing interactions
  • Teamwork and relationship-building
  • Orientation towards working smarter and adopting best practices and standardization
  • Problem-solving capabilities
  • Fluent in English
  • A 'compliance first' attitude to keep our regulators happy and enthusiastic about Flexport since we operate in a heavily regulated industry
  • Must be able to relocate internationally

Desired Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • Ocean freight knowledge is a plus
