Job Summary
Operate roll forming and fabricating machines to produce quality products based on customer requirements, focusing on part metrics like length, straightness, and camber. Monitor and maintain packaging material levels, set up machines, and change over roll formers as needed. Load steel and aluminum coils onto reels, label finished goods, and perform production reporting functions using SAP and MRP systems. Conduct minor machine maintenance, weigh materials and scrap, and reinforce 6s standards for organization and cleanliness. Follow safety requirements, wear required PPE, and provide suggestions for process improvements.
Required Qualifications
- Trade School or High school diploma
- 1 year to 3 years of work-related experience at Quality Aluminum Products or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Roll craft
- Roll form
- basic FMA
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, or decimals
- Ability to read, write and speak basic English
- Ability to interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to fill out production reports
- Ability to follow production schedules
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship, now or in the future
