Job Summary
Operations Assistant Store Manager in Training at The Home Depot leads by example during a structured 6-week training program covering retail management, operations, customer service, sales & profitability, and company policies. Responsibilities include overseeing Customer Service Desk, Receiving, Tool Rental, Order Fulfillment, Lot Loaders, and Back Office; collaborating with Store Manager and ASMs; developing actionable game plans for departmental success; and ensuring safety, stock integrity, and SOP compliance. Training emphasizes staffing and scheduling, supervising associates, resolving customer issues, and executing performance management and disciplinary processes. The role focuses on driving store-wide performance, inventory accuracy, merchandise placement, and overall store profitability while upholding company policies and safety standards.
Required Qualifications
- Eighteen years of age or older
- Legally permitted to work in the United States
- Minimum Education: high school diploma and/or GED
- Minimum Years of Work Experience: 3
- Minimum Leadership Experience: 2+ years
- Preferred Education: bachelor's degree program or equivalent degree in a related field
