Job Summary
Operations Assistant provides essential administrative and clerical support to the Underwriting team, handling document preparation, processing, data entry, file management, and the online renewal process. Responsibilities include preparing and endorsing policy documents, updating mortgagee confirmations and client records, maintaining daily logs and filing systems, scanning/archiving documents, assisting with motor quotations, managing office supplies, and acting as the first point of contact for basic client inquiries related to policy status or mailing. Requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, proficiency with data entry and document handling, and the ability to support underwriting activities and client management.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 CSEC passes inclusive of Grade 1 or 2 in Mathematics and English A
- 6 CAPE passes (full certificate) or an equivalent diploma or professional certificate
- Police certificate of character no older than 6 months from the date of stamp
- Experience: At least six (6) months work experience would be an asset
