Job Summary
Assist Store Manager with store operations, customer service, and team development. Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns. Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor; maintain seasonal areas. Perform opening and closing procedures; process corporate directives and information requests. Maintain promotional effectiveness of store-front fixtures and displays. Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, record keeping (including payroll and scheduling), and loss prevention. Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards; protect and secure all store assets. Adhere to policies and safety guidelines and ensure staff follow procedures. Help supervise, train, and develop Store Associates; foster a positive, safe, and respectful environment. Ensure cleanliness and presentable store conditions; perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives (e.g., merchandise schematics) is required.
- Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs. from floor to above shoulder height and meet demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting.
