Job Summary
The Terminal Operations Assistant is responsible for both terminal and peripheral operations at the Bell Street Pier. Key responsibilities include pier delivery and traffic flow coordination, coordinating with the ship's agent for passenger deliveries, overseeing stevedore maintenance, managing accident claims, and handling crowd control during operations. The role requires standing and walking for extended periods, a commitment to the entire cruise season, and availability for weekend or non-business hour shifts. Candidates should hold a high school diploma or equivalent and possess operational experience. Familiarity with computer systems and MS Office is beneficial.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum high school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to lift or carry up to 20 pounds
- Must be available weekends or other non-business hours as required
- Commitment for entire cruise season required (April - October, some training in March)
Desired Qualifications
- Fast pace operational experience preferred
- Familiarity with computer and MS Office
- Knowledge of other security and operations equipment helpful but not required
Additional Requirements
- Obtaining a Transit Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) card upon employment is mandatory
