Job Summary
Manage pool operations and personnel for SwimMetro's community facilities in Central Virginia, focusing on safety, compliance, and guest experience. Conduct performance evaluations and coaching for lifeguard staff, develop complex shift schedules to ensure 100% coverage, and implement American Red Cross safety protocols. Lead emergency response drills, coordinate with park rangers, and maintain accurate logs for water chemistry and incident reports. Provide first aid and coordinate staff response during emergencies. This seasonal role runs from late May to early September, with flexible weekday and weekend hours. SwimMetro offers full American Red Cross training for candidates needing certification.
Required Qualifications
- Proven ability to supervise peers, coach employee performance, and hold a team accountable to high standards, as well as keep a focus on positive staff experience
- Current American Red Cross Lifeguard certification (or the ability to obtain one through our internal training program)
- Strong organizational skills and a dependable work ethic
