OPERATIONS AND MAINTENANCE SPECIALIST III

Operations and Maintenance Specialist III leading and performing senior-level, skilled wastewater treatment plant operations at the Triangle Wastewater Treatment Plant (TWWTP) for regulatory compliance, process control, and environmental safety; coordinates preventative and corrective maintenance, conducts testing and sampling, maintains records and reports, provides training and mentorship to staff, and serves as back-up supervisory role (BORC) as needed. Strong emphasis on SCADA operation, CMMS utilization, process optimization, safety, and coordination of schedules and labor for plant efficiency; requires Grade IV Biological Water Pollution Control Operator certification, NC driver’s license, and at least five years of wastewater experience with two years in a lead/supervisory role. Must be able to work rotating shifts and potentially nights, weekends, holidays, and emergencies.
