Job Summary
Operations Accountant role focused on LOE accruals, analysis, and reporting in collaboration with Operations and Accounting teams. Responsibilities include preparing and calculating monthly LOE accruals, analyzing gross and net LOE trends and variances, reviewing LOE transactions for coding accuracy, gathering data with Operations, assisting with monthly reporting packages and presentation materials, performing account reconciliations, supporting month-end close, and contributing to ad hoc projects and continuous process improvements.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field with 3+ years of oil & gas accounting experience
- Strong Excel skills and experience working with large data sets; SAP experience is a plus
- Solid understanding of LOE accounting, variance analysis, and reconciliations
