Job Summary
Operations Accountant at Hollandia Dairy responsible for standard costing, inventory valuation, and production variance analysis, serving as the financial liaison to the manufacturing facility from 8a-5p, Mon-Fri. Will support monthly closes, inventory counts, variance investigations with the warehouse, journal entries related to inventory and manufacturing costs, balance sheet reconciliations, and analysis of plant KPIs (yield, waste/scrap, labor efficiency, downtime, throughput, and production costs). Collaborates with Plant Director and Operations leadership; supports budgeting/forecasting for plant operations, warehousing, and supply chain; ensures GAAP compliance and internal controls; supports audits and drives cost-saving opportunities. Requires a Bachelor’s degree in accounting and 3-7+ years of accounting experience, including cost accounting and manufacturing operations, with ERP experience (SAP, Oracle, Dynamics, NetSuite) and proficiency in BI tools; strong Excel and analytical skills. Eligible candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States; relocation assistance is not available. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field
- 3-7+ years of accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing or consumer packaged goods
- ERP experience in manufacturing environment (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Dynamics, NetSuite)
- Experience with BI/reporting tools (Power BI, Tableau) or similar
- Strong understanding of cost accounting, inventory accounting, GAAP, internal controls
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, XLOOKUPs) and financial modeling
- Ability to translate financial information into operational insights
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Ability to work with cross-functional teams in a production/operations setting
