Job Summary
Independently troubleshoot, calibrate, and repair Building Automation Systems, HVAC, security, and fire alarm control systems in a highly regulated, 24/7 critical environment. Modify control algorithms, lead planned evolutions and outages, and provide technical mentorship to junior staff. Utilize CMMS applications to document maintenance activities and generate reports while participating in an on-call rotation requiring response within one hour. Perform shift work on nights, weekends, and holidays with occasional travel for site support. Requires at least five years of experience and ability to exert significant physical force.
Required Qualifications
- In-depth knowledge of electronic principles
- Ability to understand and write basic computer programs
- Strong analytical skills for effective problem-solving
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams
- Ability to read and interpret sequences of operation
- Ability to read and interpret control schematics
- Ability to read and interpret loops
- Willingness and ability to quickly learn and apply new technical skills in facility maintenance and operations
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to independently resolve complex technical issues
- Ability to train junior technicians on standard maintenance procedures
- Ability to consistently exhibit initiative and sound judgment while troubleshooting with minimal supervision
- Ability to exert 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally
- Ability to exert 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently
- Ability to exert 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly
- At least 5 years of experience in related field area
