Job Summary
Operational Technology Foreman for underground mining to lead and manage the UG OT department, ensure safety and compliance, oversee budget and maintenance, implement new technology (MET, Newtrax, OptiMine, AutoMine), generate reports from data collection systems, and coordinate with multiple departments. Requires electrical/Instrumentation trade qualification, MS Office proficiency, and 5 years mining OT experience; advantageous: Bachelor’s degree and Cisco CCNA/CompTIA IT Ops certifications. Responsibilities include supervising technicians, developing a skilled workforce, ensuring safe procedures, implementing process improvements, and overseeing documentation and reporting in line with Barrick standards.
Required Qualifications
- Electrical / Auto Electrical / Instrumentation Trade qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical, electronics and communications, telecommunications, computer science or related field
- Must have 5 years underground mining industry related experience
- Must have the ability to read and interpret electric/ hydraulic/ pneumatic schematics and technical literature
