Job Summary
Operational Risk - Director responsible for independent second line oversight and challenge of the firm’s operational risk framework with a focus on Technology, Algorithmic Trading/Model Risk, Data and Third-Party Risk. Oversees governance of risks across IT/cyber, data quality, outsourcing/supplier risk, and resilience. Leads oversight of risk framework components (RCSA, KRIs, risk events, scenario analysis), risk systems (e.g., Archer / ORMS), and data governance to produce insightful reporting to senior management. Mentors and leads the risk team and may deputise for the Head of Operational Risk. Hybrid working in London.
Required Qualifications
- Strong experience in Operational Risk, Technology Risk, Cyber Risk or IT Audit
- Knowledge of technology and control frameworks, including cyber security and data risk
- Experience in third-party risk management and operational resilience frameworks
- Understanding of algorithmic trading / model governance (preferred)
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and risk assessment capability
- Good understanding of the banking regulatory environment (UK/EMEA)
