Job Summary
Operational Risk and Compliance Manager to provide high-quality risk advisory and assurance services across the Product, Sustainability and Marketing division, enabling and maturing risk management aligned to Westpac New Zealand’s strategy. Responsibilities include risk assessments, ad-hoc advisory, risk profiling, control assurance, and risk-in-change activities; support for Compliance and Conduct Frameworks; maintaining the business compliance plan; spotting trends and regulatory changes; and coaching to uplift risk knowledge and maturity within PSM. Strong collaboration across the business and risk/compliance community to foster a proactive risk culture.
Required Qualifications
- Financial Services experience, with exposure to product, legal, risk management, audit or compliance
- Understanding of the regulatory and conduct landscape within the financial services industry
- A collaborative mindset, partnering with PSM partners and the wider business to support goals
- Ability to communicate with and influence stakeholders at all levels, including senior management
- Ability to build strong connections with internal customers through engagement and relationship-building
