Operational Resilience Lead

On-siteLondon, England, United Kingdom

Full TimeSenior LevelLarge

Job Summary

Build and run Teya's operational resilience capability within the first line of defence, designing an AI-and-automation-first framework to prevent, adapt to, and recover from disruptions. Own the execution of the resilience programme, including identification of important business services, impact tolerance setting, mapping, scenario testing, and lessons learned from incidents. Ship a lightweight v1 of new processes in month one, iterating rapidly rather than building perfect frameworks in isolation. Maintain the register of business services using automated data feeds and partner with Technology, Information Security, and third-party risk teams on DORA-aligned testing and exit planning. Produce management information for senior governance forums through automated dashboards while ensuring compliance with FCA PS21/3, PRA SS1/21, and EU expectations.

Required Qualifications

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in operational resilience, business continuity, or operational risk within a regulated financial services environment (payments, e-money, banking, or similar)
  • Working knowledge of FCA PS21/3, PRA SS1/21, DORA, and the Bank of England's operational resilience framework
  • Hands-on experience with the identification of important business services, impact tolerance setting, mapping, and scenario testing
  • A future-focused approach to risk work — you actively use AI tooling in your day-to-day and look for ways to apply it to reduce manual effort across the resilience lifecycle
  • Bias to action. You design at pace, ship v1, and iterate rather than spending months building the perfect framework in isolation
  • Comfortable working with data and automation. You can specify, build, or configure the pipelines and dashboards that keep resilience data fresh, without needing an engineer to hold your hand
  • A pragmatic, risk-based mindset. You see 1LOD as enabling the business to move quickly and safely, not blocking it
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to bring structure to cross-functional work and hold owners to their commitments
  • Highly organised, with strong attention to detail
  • Confident communicator, comfortable presenting to senior stakeholders and producing written reports for governance forums
  • Highly motivated and able to work independently
