Operational Meteorologist

Job Summary
Provide operational forecasts and real-time weather support for customers across professional sports, construction, aviation, education, and municipalities with customized meteorological guidance for enterprise clients. Respond to inbound customer calls, emails, and requests with timely, accurate recommendations on event delays, heat safety risks, storm impacts, and operational resumption timelines. Prepare proactive daily forecasts and partner with Customer Success teams to deliver a best-in-class experience while contributing to continuous improvements in forecasting processes. Available to work 12-hour shifts including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays to ensure continuous monitoring. This role is based in Perry Weather's Dallas headquarters in the Oak Lawn neighborhood.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Meteorology or Atmospheric Sciences
- Experience forecasting in operational or high-impact weather environments
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex weather concepts to non-meteorologists
- Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail
- Customer-focused with a passion for helping others make informed decisions
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, rapidly growing environment where priorities can shift quickly
- Available to work 12-hour shifts, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays, to provide continuous weather monitoring and support for our customers
- This is an in-office position based in our Dallas headquarters in the Oak Lawn neighborhood
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in broadcast or operational meteorology
- Familiarity with industries such as K-12 education, parks and recreation, golf, aviation, construction, collegiate athletics, or professional sports
- Experience delivering weather briefings to operational stakeholders or executive audiences
