Job Summary
Operational Language Analyst 1 to support SIGINT Operations by processing voice and/or graphic language materials. Responsibilities include translation, transcription, and gisting, with ILR level 2 proficiency in the required languages (Chinese-Mandarin, Kanuri, Somali, Spanish) and the ability to produce idiomatic American English. Must hold TS/SCI with Poly clearance. Education: high school diploma or GED (or equivalent). Primary locations: Fort Meade, MD and Hanover, MD. Pay range: $85,000–$110,000.
Required Qualifications
- At least 2 years of full-time experience
- Interagency Language Roundtable (ILR) skill level 2 in audio translation and/or text translation from the required language into idiomatic American English or 2 in listening and/or reading on the DLPT
- 2 years performing crypto language processing — scanning, recovering EEIs, gisting, translating/transcribing, compiling working aids and databases
- 1 year of the 2 years as a primary duty conducting translation, transcriptions, and gisting
- Education and Experience: Entry level positions require a high school diploma or GED or equivalent from other countries
- Clearance Requirement: TS/SCI with Poly
