Job Summary
Operational Excellence Engineer responsible for driving continuous improvement in a regulated pharmaceutical manufacturing environment using Lean and data-driven methodologies. Lead Lean initiatives (6S, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping, OEE) to improve efficiency and reduce waste; support structured problem-solving via A3, root-cause analysis, and data-driven insights; contribute to KPI improvements across Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost. Collaborate with production to enhance day-to-day operations within GMP context; act as change champion to embed continuous improvement; manage improvement projects from focused Kaizens to cross-functional initiatives; ensure robust documentation and risk management; leverage Excel and Power BI for data visualization; pursue Lean Six Sigma-driven optimization. It envisions a hands-on technician with a defined progression into an engineering role and emphasizes strong Lean/M&E capabilities, cross-functional leadership, and a commitment to improving patient outcomes.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in manufacturing (pharma/medical device preferred)
- Strong Lean knowledge (6S, Kaizen, waste reduction)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
- Experience with Power BI or other data visualisation tools
- Lean Six Sigma certification (Yellow Belt or Green Belt) preferred
- Hands-on technician experience with progression path into Engineering role
- Familiarity with GMP-regulated pharmaceutical environment
- Robust documentation, change control, and risk management practices
- Strong analytical and communication skills
