Job Summary
The Operational Excellence Engineer is responsible for delivering results in Operational Excellence at the plant level, focusing on plant processes to drive standardization and reduce variation. Key responsibilities include championing the Ops Excellence culture, leading improvement initiatives using Six Sigma tools, executing Lean and DMAIC projects, maintaining cross-functional relationships, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and improving plant KPIs through effective training and data analysis. Candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field, relevant work experience, an ASQ Green Belt Certification, and strong competencies in lean methodologies and project facilitation.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field
- ASQ Green Belt Certification Required
- 3+ years experience in engineering, technical or related area
- Technical Competency - DMAIC, Lean, Kaizen, and Change Management
- High Volume continuous process flow experience
- Ability to collect and interpret line information and data
- Statistical results and financial impact analysis
- Proficiency in MS Windows, Minitab, MS Office
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Strong leadership skills
Desired Qualifications
- ASQ Black Belt Certification Preferred
- DFSS knowledge or experience preferred
