Job Summary
Provide expert guidance to systems engineers on airforce unit utilization of EW mission data in real-world scenarios. Translate complex defense operational needs into clear technical requirements and define, document, and validate end-to-end operational use cases for ground support software. Support system development through concept definition, design, requirements validation, and test qualification in an agile approach. Generate representative EW mission data libraries to support aircraft development phases, hardware-in-the-loop testing, and flight test. Participate in customer meetings, technical reviews, and workshops to iterate product improvements. Work within an interdisciplinary team developing state-of-the-art EW mission data systems for the A400M, Eurofighter, and Tornado platforms at the Airbus Defence and Space Manching site in Germany.
Required Qualifications
- A degree in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field
- Operational defence EW background: multiple years of active-duty or civilian experience within the National Electronic Warfare Center
- Mission Data Expertise: proven, hands-on experience in EW Mission Data programming, emitter customization, or the generation of threat libraries
- Ground Support Systems: deep understanding of the operational lifecycle of EW systems, including mission data preparation, mission data verification/validation, and post-flight analysis
- Strong team player, independent working method and high quality awareness
- Strong communication skills
- Language skills: business fluent in German and English
