Operational Analyst – Co-op Student (Remote Hospitality West)

Job Summary
Analyze operational and financial data to identify cost drivers, trends, and savings opportunities across food services, logistics, fuel, and project operations. Perform comparative and trend analysis to uncover performance gaps, develop productivity benchmarks, and translate insights into actionable recommendations for continuous improvement. Build reporting tools and dashboards to standardize metrics, leverage advanced Excel and generative AI for modeling, and partner with Finance to support pricing and commercial estimation. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to validate insights and communicate findings to operational and executive audiences. This 14-week remote co-op runs September to December 2026 with standard 40-hour weekdays, supporting Dexterra Group's Remote Hospitality Services West team.
Required Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a Business, Finance, Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering, Data/Analytics, or related program
- Must be a college or university student
- Planning to return to academic studies upon completion of the co-op work term
- Experience or coursework in financial or operational analysis
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail and data accuracy
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
Desired Qualifications
- Advanced Excel, Power BI, or dashboarding experience
- Comfortable working with large datasets and operational reports
- Demonstrated ability to leverage AI to support data analysis
- SQL or data querying experience
- Interest in hospitality, logistics, or multi-site operations
- Experience with NetSuite or similar ERP platform
- Experience with OneStream or similar corporate performance management software
