Operation Technician

Job Summary
Operate and maintain rigging equipment for training, special events, rehearsals and performances; assemble, construct, maintain and operate all rigging gear; assist with overhead stage rigging for lighting, sound, automation, scenery and props; train artists in safe use of rigging materials and safety harnesses; uphold safety policies, participate in safety training, and help establish a safe working environment; support rotation of work schedules for calls, training, maintenance and performances; gain thorough knowledge of rigging equipment specific to The House of Dancing Water show to operate and maintain mechanized and manual rigging safely; assist with artist interactions with scenery and props; adhere to company policies; report accidents and unsafe conditions; may perform other reasonable duties as assigned by management.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of two years’ experience as a professional stage Rigger
- Education: College diploma in related field
- Certified rope access technician (SPRAT, IRATA etc.). (Desired but not essential as training will be given)
- Experience as an acrobatic and/or theatrical rigger
- Fluent in English (Written, Spoken) is required. Fluent in Cantonese is a plus.
