Job Summary
Operations Supervisor responsible for leading distribution-center workflow to meet unit, cost, service, and accuracy targets. Manages daily staffing, delegates tasks, trains and monitors performance to achieve productivity, quality, safety, and attendance goals per SOPs. Provides feedback on labor capacity, leads start-up shift meetings, fosters a culture of fairness and inclusiveness, and ensures a safe workplace with a focus on safety training and readiness. Requires strong communication, leadership, budgeting understanding, and the ability to collaborate with managers and associates in a distribution environment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- 3-5 years of supervisory distribution service experience
- Proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint (Microsoft Office Suite) required
- Strong oral and written communications skills
- Strong work ethic, critical thinker, and attention to detail
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Comfortable working in a distribution environment
- Flexible with schedule rotation based on business needs
- Understanding of general finance and budgeting, including profit and loss, balance sheet and cash-flow management
- Ability to build consensus and relationships among managers, partners, and employees
- Onsite position located at the Torrid Ohio Distribution Center
- Hours generally 40+ per week; may vary based on workflow
- Physical ability to sit, stand, bend and lift up to 10 pounds, may lift up to 30 pounds occasionally
- Travel may be minimal
