Operation Security Coordinator

Job Summary
Coordinate SOC operations and incident lifecycle management, overseeing detection through containment and recovery; maintain and update incident response playbooks, runbooks, and SOPs; serve as primary liaison between the SOC, IT, and business units during security incidents; monitor SIEMs and threat intel; facilitate communication and reporting, tabletop exercises, and disaster recovery drills; manage vulnerability assessments, risk tracking, and remediation; support audits and governance with documentation, regulatory mappings (ISO 27001, NIST, SOC 2), and KPI reporting; requires a bachelor’s degree and 3–5 years in cybersecurity operations; hybrid/remote-friendly role with a Gzira, Malta office.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
- 3–5 years of experience in cybersecurity operations, IT security, or a related discipline
- Experience coordinating incident response activities or working within a SOC environment
- Experience with SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, Microsoft Sentinel, IBM QRadar) and ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira)
- Familiarity with security frameworks such as NIST CSF, MITRE ATT&CK, ISO 27001, or CIS Controls
- Technical skills with SIEM, SOAR, EDR, DLP, CTI and vulnerability management platforms
- Understanding of networking fundamentals, operating systems, and common attack vectors
- Experience with log analysis, alert triage, and threat hunting
- Familiarity with cloud security concepts (AWS, Azure)
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities

- Availability for outside standard hours and on-call rotations
