Job Summary
Operation Planner role focused on developing and communicating detailed production schedules, master scheduling, and product supply coordination to balance demand with plant capacity. Key duties include detailed scheduling to support master production schedules, finishing-good production planning for product groups, coordinating inventory and material control to maintain adequate supply and minimize aging, and using tools like Manugistics/ERP to optimize customer service, plant productivity, and inventory turns. Requires strong negotiation and coordination with internal customers (Sales, Marketing, Customer Service) and cross-functional teams; emphasizes effective communication, teamwork, and the ability to operate under tight deadlines. Qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or Business with logistics/supply chain emphasis (APICS CPIM preferred), 3-5 years in supply chain planning, proficiency with SAP/ERP and Excel, and English fluency with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering or Business preferably emphasizing Logistics or Supply Chain Management or equivalent
- APICS CPIM certification preferred
- Minimum 3-5 years in supply chain area with focus on production planning/scheduling and materials management
- Basic working knowledge of Supply Chain Management Principles
- Extensive understanding of production planning and inventory management theory
- Strong PC skills including MS Office and SAP or similar ERP packages
- Strong mathematical skills
- Fluent in English (oral and written)
- Strong teamwork skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to interface with all levels in various departments
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communications (verbal-written) skills
- Self motivated and ability to prioritize multiple and manage volatile/changing conditions
