Job Summary

Operation Hero Facilitator for the Armed Services YMCA operates the Operation Hero program at the Marine Base Kaneohe ASYMCA branch. Responsible for implementing and facilitating the program for a group of eight elementary school children over a ten-week period, with a seasonal/part-time schedule (12 weeks, 4 hours/week). Reports to the Branch Director. Primary duties include following the Operation Hero tutorial, developing lesson plans, coordinating resources (including a low-cost snack per YMCA guidelines), reviewing registration packets, maintaining organized records (attendance, weekly reports, supply requests, accident/incident reports, behavior logs), submitting required documentation, attending weekly meetings to assess effectiveness, and incorporating YMCA core values (caring, respect, responsibility, honesty) into lesson plans and representation of the organization. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications include strong written and oral communication, experience with children in a group setting, and at least 2 years of experience with children.
