Job Summary
Operational Excellence Engineer—Aerospace manufacturing. Lead lean initiatives across multiple value streams, champion safety, quality, and continuous improvement; coach and mentor project leaders; apply Kaizen, value stream mapping, visual management, and 5S; develop data-driven continuous improvement roadmaps; improve safety, delivery, quality, and cost; work on-site at Huntsville, AL and report to the OPEX manager. Qualifications include 5+ years in lean/manufacturing/operational excellence in aerospace or regulated environments, a Bachelor's degree, Lean/Six Sigma certification (Green Belt or higher preferred), proficiency with data analytics tools (Minitab/JMP/Excel/ERP), and eligibility for a government secret clearance.
Required Qualifications
- Five (5) or more years of experience in lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, or operational excellence in aerospace or a regulated manufacturing industry required
- Bachelor's degree in relevant engineering, operations, or other technical disciplines required
- Lean/Six Sigma certification(s) and demonstrated expertise in Lean Line Design
- Green Belt or higher certification is a preference
- Proficiency with data analytics systems (e.g., Minitab, JMP, Excel, and ERP systems) required
- Must be eligible to obtain a government secret clearance
