Job Summary
Drive facility operations priorities to meet customer expectations and achieve KPIs through SMART goal deployment. Coordinate and lead facility resources to execute process improvement initiatives by implementing policies, procedures, and documentation. Organize strategic initiatives using demand-driven principles to synchronize product, material, and information streams for maximum efficiency. Act as the SAP Super User within the functional area and define resource needs while working within budget and staffing parameters. Evaluate situations objectively to make decisions that positively impact work performance and the total business.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business or Industrial Technology OR equivalent experience in the Operations function within a similar working environment
- 5 years of progressive Engineering management experience in similar work environment
- Demonstrated understanding of financial measurements and goals
- Demonstrated understanding and application of lean manufacturing principles
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Strong project leadership skills
- Demonstrated ability to influence senior management, teams and individuals across multiple functions
- Experience collaborating with multiple sites and functions to drive common solutions
- Experience operating in high mix, low volume and high volume, low mix production environments
- Proven track record of successfully managing shifting deadlines and priorities in a fast paced environment
- Demonstrated problem-solving ability, including the ability to identify creative and effective solutions and the ability to ask the right questions, help frame logical conclusions
- Must occasionally lift up to 25 - 50 pounds
Desired Qualifications
- Advanced degree in Supply Chain Management or MBA
- ERP/MRP user (SAP/Oracle)
- Previous experience using SAP or equivalent ERP
- Demonstrated experience managing sheet metal fabrication including programming, blanking (laser, punch), press brake forming, welding, and powder coating
- Demonstrated experience with Capital Asset Management and bringing new assets online through installation, training, and production execution
